Mechanical Threshing
Mechanical threshers are commonly used to separate soybeans from the pods and stems. These machines use rotating drums or beaters to detach the soybeans from the plants.
Traditional Threshing
In traditional or small-scale farming, soybean plants are often manually threshed using various methods
1. Beating:
Use sticks or rods to beat the harvested plants to release the soybeans.
2. Treading:
Animals, such as cattle, may walk over the harvested plants to loosen the beans from the pods.
3. Hand Rubbing:
Rub the harvested plants by hand to separate the soybeans.
